Lisa Humphrey was inspired to write
A Mother’s Promise when a friend wondered whether she should bring a new child into such a scary world. Lisa earned her Master’s degree from Cal State University Northridge. A teacher in Los Angeles, California, she is an advocate for peace and women’s rights with interests in yoga, Buddhism and philosophy.
About the Illustrator
David Danioth is an instructor at the Art Institute of Seattle. Living in Washington State with his wife and two children, David passionately enjoys bicycling all over the world. When he’s not at school or in his own studio, David can most likely be spotted on a soccer field or the seat of a bicycle on the road somewhere. David is the illustrator for
